I already posted many chicken recipes but village style chicken curry
recipe is flavorful recipe. Tamarind is optional, we can add small quantity of tamarind juice while adding water.

Ingredients
- Nattu Kozhi - 1 full
- Gingelly oil - ½ cup
- Onions - 2
- Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
- Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tbsp
- Fennel Seeds - 1 tbsp
- Garam masala - 1 tbsp
- Coconut grated - 1 cup
- Poppy Seeds / Kasa Kasa - 2 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves
- Salt as per taste
- Boil the chickens in salt and turmeric in pressure cooker upto 3 whistles.
- Heat oil in a clay pot.
- Add fennel seeds and cumin seed, allow it to splutter.
- Add onions and fry it.
- Add ginger garlic paste, chili powder and chicken masala powder. Fry it.
- Add 1 cup of water and allow it to boil until the raw smell goes away.
- Add boiled chickens.
- Grind coconut, garam masala, poppy seeds, remaining cumin seeds and fennel seeds.
- Add the grinded mixture.
- Cover the lid for 10 mins and allow it to boil.
- Taste check and add salt or water as required.
- Add handful of coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve with rice.
