Red rice Puttu is one of the famous south india recipe. Generally this goes well with any kadalai curry. It is simple recipe to make and taste so healthy
and delicious. For kids serve with banana, sugar and drops of coconut oil. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.
- Red Rice Flour - 2 cups
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Warm Water - 1 cup
- Mix salt with warm water.
- Take flour in a bowl. Add warm water little by little and mix well. The mixture should be wet and coarse.
- Take puttu maker. Put one hand of rice flour mix and top with coconut and then again rice flour and again coconut.
- Heat water in pressure cooker and place the puttu maker on steam release portion.
- Cook until the steam comes out of the puttu lid, it takes approx 5 mins.
- Unmould and serve.

Take 2 cups of red rice flour |

Clean and place the base in puttu maker |

Fill it alternatively rice flour and coconut |
|
Steam it on pressure cooker |
|
Remove the lid and check it cooked |
