Ingredients
- Matta Rice / Red Rice - 1.5 cup
- Moong dal / Pasiparuppu - 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Coconut milk - 1 cup
- Water - 5 cups
- Salt as per taste
Method
- Dry roast the rice and dal. Then wash rice atleast 3 to 4 times and pasiparuppu well.
- Open instant pot and add rice, dal, cumin seeds and water and mix it.
- Close the lid. Hit PRESSURE COOK and set time for 10 mins.
- Allow the pressure releases naturally and open the lid.
- Add salt and coconut milk and mix well.
- Serve kanji with sambal or any thogayal.
